To promote thicker and healthier hair, make a concerted effort to eat more protein (you know where to find it), zinc, and iron (Spinach is a good source of these last two), which can all promote hair growth, says Jennifer Chwalek, MD, a dermatologist at Union Square Laser Dermatology in New York.
