It is this epiphany that led Angel on a career of several decades. Before that, she called herself Angela Repellent and was part of the vibrant counterculture of the 80s in New York as a singer, artist, and poet. She still paints and plays today – and even plays the theremin. (Look at the video above to see exactly what WTF sounds like.)
Angel is an Aquarius, which means that she's "wacky and likes to push the envelope". This goes up to her suits, which include corsets, tulle skirts, heels or boots, tights and boas. She completes her look with a variety of custom-made wigs, including a Marie-Antoinette inspired hairstyle dotted with fake flowers and a suspended mini birdcage. She even plans her outfits according to the signs. (For example: The sun was in Aquarius when I interviewed her, so she dressed in different shades of blue.)

Before a reading, she likes to meditate and light incense to create the mood. Then she offers her client a cup of tea to help them relax before diving into their painting. "They mostly want to know about their love life," she says about her clients. Many people want a relationship chart – where Angel looks at the table of his client and his partner and sees how they fit together.
"Many strangers enter my bed and I blow up their world" says. She told people to break up with their partners, or to discover truths about their relationship with their mother. She also says that she can tell someone's sexuality by looking at her card, even if she did not go out. "It's not my personal opinion," she says. "It's just based on what I see astrologically, and this is based on mathematics."
That said, she strives to be respectful of her clients' feelings. "You must be sensitive and realize that it is a human being of flesh and blood before you," she said. She broods a lot of her advice with a disgusting sense of humor, and her on-the-top character helps relieve the potentially painful fears. One of his trademarks is to wield a magic wand at a person and say, "You're not so damned!"
As for skeptics? "I eat them for breakfast," Angel said. "I do not feel the need to prove myself to anyone. Sometimes I'm going to have a fighting client, and I'm just going to say," Why are you here? " ; "
Angel is convinced that the world would be a better place if everyone enjoyed and understood astrology. "I guess instead of thinking about a tiny problem, you think about the immensity of the universe," she says. "Astrology gives you the big picture."
